PONKEYS!!! ALIVE!!!

A purple heart for ponkey!!!! On this 4th of July,2008, in an effort to protect his owner from two giant Akita's, Our friend Ponkey was(we thought)fatally injured. After several hours of working on him and 82 stitches later, the consensus was that his internal injuries were far too grave and that this would be Ponkeys last day on earth with us. Annette was heartbroken after leaving the vets office fully believing that he had expired, she then had to share the very sad news with the rest of us. Little did we know that Dr. Kim of Alpine Animal Hospital in La Habra just couldn't give up on him. Instead of watching fireworks, he worked on Ponkey and monitered him all night long. Several days later when he was certain that Ponkey was going to make it, he called with the good news!! Ponkey is alive. He is a little worse for wear, but he should sustain a full recovery and resume his happy life at home with Tirso and Annette and the rest of the gang!! It is truly a miracle!!! We just want to say "bless you" and "thank you" Dr. Kim for your loving kindness!! We truly appreciate your life time devotion to helping our animals.
